the inspiration, the cause
people always ask me why our theatre company has such an obscure name that some might not always remember.
growing up in london in the mid to late 90s, i experimented and experienced things which culminated in an education far beyond what the hallowed portals of ladies' college had prepared me for. we were so sheltered.
then !blam! at age 19, all alone in old blighty, attending a fairly leftist, extremely progressive liberal arts college that had previously produced the likes of mary quant, vivienne westwood, damien hirst, julian clary, blur and sex pistols band members, amongst countless others.
heading for the hills
‘lookin’ thru my earphones’ goes on the road!
admittedly, it could be the only road out of town this kid will travel, but it’s a start.
It’s also a good time to fix things that went wrong at the foot (which is how the husband and i refer to barefoot), and here’s a tip for those getting into the business of the wonderful wild world of entertainment.
Lesson No.1: always ALWAYS hire GOOD lighting and sound equipment, especially if a live audio element is involved.
so where was i? that’s right, we’re getting on the road, revving up our engines and heading to the hills.

the last gig these guys did, spawned a huge debate on the blogsphere. well they're ba-a-a-a-ck!
post mortem
if you caught the last show, which was at 9.15 friday night, then you caught the production at its peak. it certainly was my favourite show. everything came together beautifully – especially ‘fashion tv’. check out new pix.

two shows tonight
i guess asking for good vibes really worked ‘cos we had a super show last night. thanks very much to everyone who came and gave us your very positive feedback. we will certainly be doing a lot more of this stuff from now on.
word has spread, so we’re having two shows tonight. 8pm and 9.15pm. the show is only half an hour anyway. tickets 250/- will be available at barefoot from 6.30pm onwards.

another opening, another show
i started blogging mainly to promote a show that has been in the works for about 10 years now. poor ‘in camera’…i can never seem to get it together. either the wrong cast, or in this case, the wrong time.
happily, things have worked out so well with ‘lookin thru my earphones’ that here we (my cast and i) stand on the brink of yet another opening night. here’s a press article if you want to know what it’s all about.

so the show ‘lookin thru my earphones’ is on the 18th and 19th may (thats tomorrow and friday) at barefoot.
